History
Thomas & Reed, LLC was founded in January 2004. Stephen A. Reed, CPA, MBA is the President, CEO and sole owner. Since its founding, T&R has continued to grow and gain a reputation as a solid CPA firm throughout the city of Indianapolis, the State of Indiana, and the Midwest Region. We are expanding into the federal market as a Small Business Administration 8(a) certified firm.
Today, Thomas & Reed, LLC continues to grow and is expanding into other lines of business through the acquisition of a non-emergency transportation company, which includes a call center, a proprietary software program for trip scheduling, and Medicaid billing capabilities. The T&R family of businesses now also includes Construction Services, with an emphasis on project management, construction accounting, and concrete services.

Community Involvement
As a company, Thomas & Reed, LLC is committed to giving back to the community. “To whom much is given, much is required.” The Thomas & Reed, LLC team has participated with the I.W.I.N. Foundation and Indy Do Day to distribute packets to runners in the Indy Women’s Half Marathon race held in September 2018. Individuals in our firm volunteer their time on a regular basis in their respective churches, with the Mozel Sanders Thanksgiving Dinner, and in other local charities serving homeless veterans and the hungry. Our tax team has supported the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, a national initiative sponsored by the IRS to provide persons with disabilities and limited English speaking abilities assistance in preparing their own tax returns.
